The beautiful temple in La-ie, Oahu, will be open to the public before its formal rededication in November. The gorgeous North Shore's rich history and welcoming culture provides the perfect backdrop for this temple.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints had only four operating temples before the temple in Hawaii was originally dedicated in 1919 by President Heber J. Grant.  It has undergone extensive remodeling and updating since 2008, and is almost ready for a public open house.  All are welcome and invited to come see inside the temple before it is dedicated again.  The open house is free, and is scheduled for October 22nd to November 13th, 2010, excluding Sundays.
