The groundbreaking ceremony for the Mormon temple in Rome, Italy took place in October 2010.  President Thomas S. Monson, the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons), spoke at this special event.  Many local church leaders and community leaders attended and participated.
