Spanish Bible Published
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has now published the Bible for its 4.5 million spanish-speaking church members. After years of translation, revision, and hard work, the LDS (Mormon) church is pleased to release this updated version to those who have been waiting. This new edition is comparable to the 1979 English version that the church published, including footnotes, chapter headings and more.
Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said, “the Bible is a resource of tremendous importance—of doctrine, of examples, of worthy lives. My prayer is that this volume may become a source of inspired instruction.”
Elder Scott has worked on this project, along with many others, to bring an updated version of the Spanish Bible to people around the world. He served a mission in Uruguay as a young adult, and has since held the spanish-speaking people in high esteem.
