    Mormon Temple In Rome, Italy

    The groundbreaking ceremony for the Mormon temple in Rome, Italy took place in October 2010.  President Thomas S. Monson, the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons), spoke at this special event.  Many local church leaders and community leaders attended and participated.

    Mormon Tabernacle Choir Celebrates 100 Years

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' choir has been in existence for one hundred years, as of September 1st, 2010.  After numerous awards, thousands of performances, and collaborations with dozens of famous musicians and soloists, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir continues to set the precedence in professionalism and excellence.  Their new album, "100: Celebrating a Century of Recording Excellence", is now available.

    Go Inside the Mormon Temple in Hawaii

    The beautiful temple in La-ie, Oahu, will be open to the public before its formal rededication in November. The gorgeous North Shore's rich history and welcoming culture provides the perfect backdrop for this temple.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints had only four operating temples before the temple in Hawaii was originally dedicated in 1919 by President Heber J.

    President Monson Plays the Piano in the Philippines

    The temple in Cebu, Philippines was dedicated last month, bringing the total of operating temples to 133.  President Thomas S. Monson, the Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, took time to play the piano for the children who attended the dedication.

    Mormon General Conference Taken to the World

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon Church) broadcast the 180th Annual General Conference around the world in April, 2010.  The conference was translated into dozens of languages.  Mormons from all over the world took the opportunity to hear from President Thomas S. Monson and other general leaders of the church.  The spiritual messages given at the conference were for the members of the church, and all others interested in learning more.

    Mormon Missionary Talks about Earthquake in Chile

    Thousands were affected by the massive quake in Chile, including hundreds of missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons).  One of those missionaries, Elder Mark Roberts of Arizona, shares his experience during, and closely following the earthquake with the LDS Newsroom Blog.  His is one of many stories of worry, fear, and eventual hope through the tragedy and shock of such an event.

    Mormon Torah Bright Wins Gold in Womens Halfpipe

    Torah Bright, Mormon and professional snowboarder, is an inspiration to the world.  Her dedication, hard work, and talent have led her to win an Olympic Gold for Australia in womens halfpipe.  Torah is known to push herself past what seems realistic to everyone else.  When snowboarding, she is continually trying new tricks that others would never dare to try.  Torah's beautiful smile and insane shredding has led her to win over thousands of new fans.

    Mormon Aid Flows to Haiti's Earthquake Victims

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon church) continues to deliver aid to the people of Haiti.  Along with food, milk, and other supplies, the Church has been helping families clear their properties of rumble and debris.  Then, they have given the people housing kits.  There are at least 600 kits that will be distributed and built to help the people in Haiti.  Many still are utilizing the Mormon church houses as shelter.
